Our Story
Pawed Portraits began with Tyler, my best friend and the first dog I had a true connection with. Losing him reminded me how precious our memories with our pets are, and inspired me to create artwork that helps others celebrate the animals that mean so much to them.
Creative Vision
Every portrait is hand-painted one brushstroke at a time. Starting with your favorite photo, I carefully recreate the details, personality, and charm that make your pet special. From a digital canvas with an endless palette of colors to a beautifully printed masterpiece on canvas, each portrait is created with care, passion, and a genuine love for all animals.
Christopher George
I’m a traditional artist with over 35 years of experience, and my love for animals has shaped both my life and my art. I studied traditional 2D animation at the Academy of Art University in California, where I learned how to bring expression, personality, and feeling into every piece I create. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been a proud dog parent to nine amazing dogs, and I’ve also spent many years fostering dogs in need. My connection to animals runs deep, and that love is poured into every portrait I paint. I care deeply for all animals, from the pets we call family to the animals I feed in my own neighborhood. Through Pawed Portraits, I hope to create heartfelt artwork that honors the unique spirit, love, and companionship that make our pets so unforgettable.
